Momentum

Momentum Health Study (Ongoing)

The Momentum Health Study is a longitudinal cohort of sexually active gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) over the age of 16 in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia. Recruitment began in February of 2012 and men are recruited by respondent-driven sampling, a form of peer-to-peer recruitment. Participants complete a behavioural questionnaire and complete HIV and other STI testing every six months. This study is coordinated by the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS in clinical partnership with the Vancouver Coastal Health STOP HIV/AIDS team and is funded by the National Institutes for Health (NIH), National Institutes for Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR)
