The Vanguard Project is a study of HIV rates and risk factors in young men between the ages of 15 and 30, who self-identify as gay or bisexual, in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. Recruitment began in May 1995 and ended in March 2002 and men were recruited through posters, advertising and word-of-moth.
